53rd Annual Ozark Christmas Parade

Where: Downtown Ozark (Route begins at Ozark Bank on Jackson Street and proceeds down Jackson to 3rd Street, then turns onto the square at Church Street to complete a loop and return to 3rd Street.)

When: Saturday, Nov. 18th, 5:30 pm

Cost & Info: Free to attend

Bring the whole family and come out to watch the floats, get some candy, and see Santa! Roads will be closing prior to the parade, so come early to make sure you get a spot with a good view along the route! Make sure you look for TDP’s float – it’s going to be a winner!

23rd Annual Turkey Trot

Where: Springfield Expo Center

When: Thursday, Nov. 23rd, 8:00 am

Cost & Info: If you register by 5:00 pm on 10/17, cost is $20 for adults, $15 for kids 12 & under (plus a $3.25 service fee per person when registering online.) You can also register in person from 8:00 am – 5:30 pm on Wednesday, Nov. 22nd and from 6:00 am – 7:15 am on race day (Nov. 23rd) at a cost of $30 for adults and $25 for kids 12 and under.

This is an event for the whole family (even the dog!) and is a great way to get in a little exercise on Thanksgiving morning before all of the food begins! Proceeds from the race will benefit the Springfield-Greene County Park Board Scholarship Fund and the Developmental Center of the Ozarks. Turkey Trot also serves as a one-day food drive, so bring your canned goods to donate! Click here to register online, for a course map, and for more info!

Downtown Tree Lighting

Where: Springfield Park Central Square

When: Saturday, Nov. 18th, 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Cost & Info: Free to attend

This event is sure to get you into the Christmas spirit! The tree lighting will be at 7:00 pm but there are tons of pre and post-show activities! There will be free hot chocolate, several live musical and theatrical performances, a reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’, a Jingle Bell March around the square, free carriage rides, and an appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus! Bundle up and bring the whole family out for this fun holiday celebration!

9th Annual Ozarks Beerfest

Where: Springfield Expo Center

When: Saturday, Nov. 18th, 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm for VIP guests, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm for general admission

Cost & Info: VIP tickets – $60 in advance (includes early admittance, exclusive breakout sessions, and a signature VIP mug.) General admission – $35 in advance, $40 at the door (includes an Ozarks Beerfest tasting glass.)

Anyone 21+ is invited to attend this laid-back event which includes live music, food from your favorite area restaurants, and of course, samples of beers from microbreweries and distributors from across the Midwest. 4th Annual Lights & Flights Holiday Festival

Where: Farmers Park (2144 E. Republic Rd., Springfield, MO 65804)

When: Wednesday, Nov. 22nd, 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Cost & Info: Free to attend

There will be activities to entertain every member of the family! Children’s activities include a marshmallow bar, kids crafts, photos with Santa, and more. The Christmas lights display will be illuminated at 6:30 pm and there will be plenty of live music, holiday drinks and sweets, and whiskey flights. Farmers Market of the Ozarks will also host a pre-Thanksgiving market with food and retail vendors, perfect for some last minute Thanksgiving shopping or some Christmas shopping!
